These toppers are designed to fit all of the devices in the BOSS 500 series. These include:
RC500 - Looper

How do they work?
They increase the surface area and make the buttons easier to see. There is a hole which is carefully aligned to allow the status light to be viewed from all angles. This hole also shields the light and makes it much easier to see in difficult light conditions such as sunlight and stage lights.
The left and right buttons are aligned with the edges of the unit rather than the buttons. This effectively increases the spacing between the buttons creating more room for larger shoes and boots.
Colors
Of course having the option to color code the toppers makes for more intuitive operation. You can easily identify the required function without looking closely at the pedal - particularly important for looping.
The hinge comes in an option of red or black. Red or black works well with the RC500 and black works well with the rest of the 500 series.
What about mushroom toppers?
Traditional mushroom toppers are often problematic. Especially the cheaper ones. The buttons on the Boss 500 series are quite low, so unless modified and perfectly aligned, mushroom topper can bottom out on the case which not only damages the paintwork on the device, but can results in intermittent success when pressing as the button is only partially depressed. They can also easily fall off when pressing on the edges of the mushroom topper.
Stadium toppers resolve all of the issues of mushroom toppers. It is not possible to bottom out as they have no need to overhang the button. The angle is always the same regardless of how you press the topper, so even it you push at the very edge of the topper, it will still go straight down on the button. Stadium toppers are incredibly strong. They have been extensively tested. We don't recommend it, but you can drop a bowing ball or jump up and down on them and the won't break.
All of this results in eliminating mishits and an overall more accurate experience.
Installation
The 3 toppers are fixed to a single hinge which attaches to the device with the included double sided tape. The hinge firmly hooks over the edge of the looper ensuring that it will not move in any conditions.
Before installing, practice placing the toppers on the device and make sure it aligns with the edges of the device. It is exactly the same width as the device so it should not overhang either side.
Clean the surface of the device with alcohol or at least rub it clean with a microfibre cloth. Remove the protective coating on the double sided tape and press the the topper hinge firmly to the device.
Removal
If you need to remove the toppers press firmly on the top on the hinge with your thumbs and push the hinge towards the back of the device. Maintain this presssure for a while and eventually the hinge will slide off the back. The tape will not harm the paintwork of the device.
It is not advised to lever the toppers off or pry them of with a screwdriver or similar as you may damage the hinge or your device.

Prices will be calculated at time of checkout and added to your total payment. Shipping is normally via Australia Post which offers tracking of it's packages.
Taxes
Stadium Music is not registered for international tax collection including EU and UK. As such, parcels may require local taxes and customs duty to be paid by the receiver prior to delivery. For Australian customers, prices include GST.
